Aleppo Pine is a new Spanish band who performs in the psych-folk poppy territory. Their production sounds a bit English 90s psychedelica, it is all pretty vague, hazy, a bit surface-stoned. There are more acoustic and more electric songs. I still have the impression I have heard it all a few too many times before (I never liked these 90s psych much, all leading from and to a dead end stoned mind). At its best the band digs into psychedelic sounds deeper with spacier effects with the help of sitar and tabla leads. This is retro music, but perhaps they sound a bit too stoned to really bring something else but a thick cloudy joint of music.
