Fresch is a Trio of guitarists and singers. There’s an attractive warm resonance between the three guitars and the triple pickings and strums are entertaining. Often the music is driven or at least thoroughly directed towards the songs, which are a combination of folkpop music like REM or so and a lot more, the folk inspirations from Jethro Tull, with easy but attractive vocal harmonies. This must give an idea to the daylight ideas of the songs, which in the end does not sound very surprising or different. In that way the possible meditative effect of the three guitars is not explored and is only used to create a social feeling between the songs. It is more like the songs that are more being enriched with the instrumental pickings. Of course there are some or more exceptions where the pickings lead a tune completely, (like the last track, “Schmetterlingskuss”); also this sounds like song music, played in a fresh picking manner.
