Wounded Nurse     Furekaaben : Prinsessevaerelset (DK,1970,re.2002)***'

No doubt that this 7-piece underground Club (Club 27) community jam had completely far out perspectives. Anthony Barnett plays most, and most exotic, instruments (block, Asiatic flutes, sanza, zither, gong, cymbal, bells, tabla, percussion). The jam in three large sections and some improvised instrumental lead parts has improvised flute, rambling garbage or found bells and cymbal, smoothly bass lined cello, tabla, some emotional singing parts towards an endlessness, hippie-commune like wordless female backing vocals lifting everything up from endless perspectives to endless heights, loosely, calmly, taking the time to develop and develop and develop moodily, with strummed acoustic guitars mostly as foundation, with more loose parts beaming up the cosmos in all directions, and more focused, with song. While musically perhaps this might sound slightly predictable to some, I love this, and notice the uniqueness of the moment and the availability to do so relaxed. The notes say the group was “clean”. But the music is psychedelic for sure.

This was their first record.  first edition with hand painted covers. See artwork here. They then released another record in 1971 under the collective of Rode Rose (1971).  In 1973 the band changed name to "Hyldemors lyksaligheder". Three members, Hans Vindig (guitarist), Steen Claesson (violinist) and Jens Hansen (guitarist) continued in Hyldemor. They had a release, "Glem det hele" and one single on CBS in 1978.
