Rooted in the inspirational areas of ragtime/blues/Appalachian song music, this is an inspired and creative-minded banjo/guitar picking album with songs played in interesting tunings. The pickings interact well with the songs and lead often as much as the songs. Included are also a few very special songs, like “False Bride”, while the songs themselves are a bit mysterious, of moments that matter in a poor person's mind. Sincere music on an album that will stand the test of time. Recommended. The lyrics booklet has some well fitting artwork graphics by Jason himself. Jason Steel is also part of The Owl Service and he has another album with Nancy Wallace (of former Memory Band).
