theatrical cabaret-singer-songwriter music presents :
Mimes Of Wime

CD (2009)

Midfinger Rec.  Mimes Of Wine : Apocalypse Sets In (I,2009)***°

The music is inspired from a drawing, the introduction of the label says, but it is not much of an orientation for me. The effect surely is convincing, singer and pianist Laura Loriga plays very descriptive small podium piano and seems to provoke a whole series of theatrical stories, where her expressive voice bring the listener from one emotional peak to the next, like a theatre piece of a never ending evolution, pushing to another vision again and again. The music has some extra effects of textures on violin, subtle percussive effects, trumpet solos, violin, cello and such (12 other occasional musicians participated with the piano and voice) all very neat/close with the effect of the music. Expressive in a certain minimal way.
