This is a strong, professionally produced debut, with gentle and warm band arrangements. I like very much how on “With this bullet” some string arrangements comes in like a snake on the rhythmic pulses of the song, while Pat is strumming the guitar and singing the song along. “Waterford Chrystal” starts with church organ, before letting acoustic guitar and slide guitar and voice make the lead direction, keeping alive a controlled dramatic tension. The last, most simple track, “Down the backroads” uses more pop/country attractive rhythms stirring the song, while keeping it convincing and musically inspired...
