This is a reissue of the 2007 release by Peter Delaney, with seven songs sung with a cried-out (smoked and bluesy) sad voice, accompanied by ukulele, with poetic, thoughtful contemplative lyrics. The effect has something of old time music mixed with a touch of happy blues and a songwriter vision, Peter says he was inspired by old Hawaiian music. The effect of the at times banjo-like then guitar-like playing, picked and rhythmically strummed, on the ukulele combined with his voice is a charming appealing combination. For these 7 songs with full attention it works perfectly.
