MCD ('10)

Outline Rec.   Poisucevamachenille (I,2010)**'

This is just one large track in different sections of over 30 minutes, an exploration and expression by Ezio Piermattei, formerly of what he calls a “cartoon rock band”, Levis Hostel. Partly this is a free deliberately amateurish acoustic almost-improvisation on violin, glockenspiel, water, percussion, off-beat off-key and off-everything and near-being stupid then with parts coming in like a collage with the more serious songs and arrangements with deformed voices, odd harmonies and vocal arrangements, partly near-Residents or Renaldo and The loaf flavoured, but less disciplined and often with an extra psychedelic pop flavour, with additional psych organ arrangements for instance, with some lullabies of outsiderisms which are half-real songs and which hang on more often a bit longer only to go off into chaos-nonsense again. The press introduction states that the lyrics pay tribute to Raymond Queneau and François Rabelais, but I didn't get the picture. Artwork was done by Ezio's girlfriend Barbara Gileno. He says they share an apartment with a Himalayan rabbit called Momus and they “identify themselves as dislocationists”.
