Red Birds Seahorse Rec. The Child of a Creek : Find a shelter along the path (I,rec.2004-2005,pub.2010)***'
This is the homework of this Italian solo project with use of various different guitars including 12-string but also use of balalaika and zither and keyboards, flute and percussion. The tracks slowly develop in a comparable mood, like instrumental mood builders with guitars leading to songs. The voice can sound a bit strange, but not always, and he sings with an American accent, which I think is always a bit less effective in stretched 12-string moods compared to Oxford English for instance. It is hard for me to say much about these tracks. You get the impression of this home built studio mood, and the length of the concept is perfect for what it is. Child Of A Creek has played before with Mi and l'Au, Jose Gonzales and Marissa Nadler, and has toured with Sharron Kraus. First released on CDR, after a few appearances on compilation albums, this is the first CD release. A tasteful mood album.
