Equilibrium MusicThe Moon and the Nightspirit : Rego Rejtem (HU,2007)***'/**''

I would like to mention this duo that calls themselves a pagan-folk band. The roots of their music expressions are very much into real folk music, with returning bodhran-like rhythms and certain traditions of female folk harmonies, and folk dance arrangements with flute/violin. Their inspirations all sound pretty familiar, a bit predictable and repetitive in sound. It is because of these limitations that they fit well with more especially medieval music based neo-folk bands although this band has more real folk in its core than the general neo-folk scene. The package with artwork by Agnes Toth is done nicely, but reveals the darker edge too, slightly drained from the real life’s source of moving creativity.
This is the band’s second album.
