Big Pink Music       Tim Tutor : Boppin' through the milkey way (US,1973,re.2011)°°

The Big Pink label must have had the chance to re-release several of the Playboy records releases lately. Although the description says the album is sought after, in this case I can't see very much why. The album is in fact poorly inspired. The lyrics are very mainstream and are concerned with derivate rocking. And yes, there is some rocking involved, but never in a surprising way and only in a way it has been heard many times before, even by a late evening cover band. Even though the full Playboy rocker session musicians were involved including brass players, it all comes down to enjoying themselves on generally known standards, not upon a different and more creative muse.
