White Canvas is Rena Meyer Wiel on vocals with Rolf Beydemüller on guitars and soundscapes. More mood than songwriter music, more improvised than arranged composition, this is less easy to categorise, but this project surely provokes a dream landscape through songs and arrangements. Rena Meyer's voice has an experimental colourful wide range with her voice. Sometimes she adds voices like a bird (on the first and last song, like nature's call), can reach high and low registers, soulfully too, sings songs but more as a way to provoke an atmosphere, a new virtual context and world. Rolf's guitar arrangements adds pickings, reverb, sliding echoes, create an equal part of warm soundscapes, a few times with rhythmical accents, some bass and lots of resonances. In a way this is all very feminine. Dream away endlessly. Even though real songs are there, the landscapes are bigger.
